“Our WHY is our purpose, cause or belief - the driving force behind everything that we do.

Our HOW’s are the actions that we take when we are at our natural best to bring our WHY to life.

Our WHAT’s are the tangible manifestation of our WHY, the actual work that we do every day.”

My name is Darian and I’m a 29 year old Colorado native.

I have a BA degree in Digital/Film Photography from the Art Institute of Colorado. For the past 10 years, I have gained professional experience in almost every area of the industry.

On the day of my art school graduation, I accepted a full-time position as an advertising photographer for a multi-million dollar supplement company here in Colorado. The lessons I learned were priceless; and they helped me realize my worth as a visual content creator, in a world that is requiring more and more imagery every day. I eventually resigned, took a leap of faith and chose to pursue my entrepreneurial spirit by starting a clothing company with my best friend. After some time off and immense hardship in the past couple of years, I have slowly made my way back to my creative spirit and I am proud/excited to finally feel like: “I am back.”

My professional experience has ranged from creative direction/branding, commercial advertising, fashion/e-commerce, tour/nightlife photography, and environmental portraiture.

In short, I specialize in custom content creation for social-media usage, unique marketing campaigns and print/digital advertising purposes.

I am proficient in the majority of AdobeCC programs. Specifically, I am advanced in Lightroom, Premier Pro and Photoshop tasks such as retouching, color correction and toning. I am also actively growing my skillset within cinematography and story telling.

Aside from photography, I have always loved music. I also enjoy teaching my friends creative skillsets, because I usually end up learning something about myself in the process. This tends to reaffirm that I knew enough about a topic, technique or skill to teach someone else, too.

I’m not trying to “sell myself” to anyone through my work anymore. Instead, I’d rather gravitate towards projects that I am passionate about and others who see my skillset as valuable.

This website consists of current work, as well as work from the past 10+ years. All of my photography experiences up until this point have made me who I am today, thus making my past work just as important as the work I aspire to create moving forward.

I am sharing my work in hopes to meet new people, further my career and create intellectual discussions about my imagery that will help me grow.

Thank you for being here.
